What is the PTO?
We are often asked: “what does PTO stand for?”. PTO means Parent Teacher Organization. We are a team made up of parents and staff from Sackville Heights Elementary School who are committed to providing accessible events to our students and providing teachers with additional funding to be used through the year for purchases for their classrooms.
As a parent or guardian of a student at the school you are already a member of the PTO and are welcome to attend our meetings and participate in all our events. We are always on the hunt for new volunteers to join our association, not only to help during events but also to give your feedback and ideas.
We want to build a strong sense of community at our school where all our kids can feel seen and supported. If you want to help enrich your children’s school experience, come out to the next PTO meeting or volunteer at an event! We can’t do these events without your help! Information about our meetings is sent home in email Alerts from the school and can also be found in the school newsletter.
